I hope you guys can help with following Zap:

Every time I put a video into a specific Dropbox folder I’d like to update a Google Sheets row. The challenge for me is that not a specific row needs to be updated, instead the rows should be updated dynamically

Here is a screenshot of my Google Sheet: https://imgur.com/a/9PQfMC9

Every time a new Dropbox video gets uploaded, the new Dropbox link should be inserted into the next Google Sheets row (“New Dropbox link”). How could that be possible?

I’ve spend hours trying to figure this out. Maybe someone could point me into the right direction.

Thank you so much!

@Troy Tessalone You were very helpful to me, thank you so much! I figured it our so far how to make it work.

@Nate I wanted to add the link to an existing row. Now everything seems to work fine. Thanks!

@Likamundi are you trying to add the link to an existing row or you want to add a new row and only fill the dropbox link?

Lookup Value would be “New Dropbox link” (assuming “New Dropbox link” is the value in all the cells you want updated)

I tried that already, but the problem is that I don’t know what to put inside “Lookup value”:

How can “Lookup Spreadsheet Row” work if I have lots of different rows with “New Dropbox link” inside my Google Sheet? How can I define that the new Dropbox link should be put underneath an existing Dropbox link?

In the GSheets Lookup Row action step settings, there is the option to search top>down OR bottom>up.

This behavior will find the first matching row depending on the direction.

Try this action: GSheets - Lookup Row (search for “New Dropbox link”)

I already tried to use “Lookup Spreadsheet Row”. Could not manage it properly.
