I am having difficulty getting new items in an RSS Feed to upload to an existing folder in my Dropbox account. I have setup the “New Item in Feed in RSS by Zapier” and that trigger has tested successfully. I believe the trouble I am having lies in the action portion. For app, I have selected Dropbox. for Event, I have selected Upload File. I have then logged in successfully to my Dropbox account. I have pointed the action to a specific, existing folder in my Dropbox account. Under file, I am not sure what to put here. I have tried a few variations, but none have worked successfully. A file actually gets uploaded to Dropbox in the proper folder, but it will not open and I don’t believe it is the proper file. When I attempt to open the file in Dropbox, it says something about the file extension not being recognized.
Intended OutcomeNew File gets added to Dropbox folder If the New File contains “Completion” it should get moved to a different folder in DropboxCurrent Zap On the third step (Move File in Dropbox), I am receiving the following error Here is how the Action for step 3 is configured I don’t understand the error or how to configure differently? Any ideas?
Hello,I’d like to create a Zap where I get sent a Slack message every day after a new file is created in a given folder, up until that file is no longer present in said folder. I’d like to do it without using a schedule trigger every day so as to minimize action cost. I’m guessing I would have to create some kind of loop, maybe using storage ?Any ideas on how I could achieve this ?Thanks!
So I’ve tried the following two scenarios and neither seem to add proper file content (HTML or Mobiledoc body) to a Ghost CMS/blog’s draft postDropbox file upload to create draft post in Ghost Google Drive file upload to create draft post in GhostHas anyone been successfully able to setup a Ghost integration/zap such that the post body actually fills out?
I have an Amazon S3 bucket which receives both csv and pdf files. I want to create 2 separate processes in Zapier to act on upload of new files in the bucket. I could use a path at the top to split the actions but I really don’t want a single zap as the handling of each file type is completely different. My question is, if I create 2 zaps that each trigger on “new file” in the same s3 bucket but then have a filter to only continue if the file ends in the appropriate extension, will that work? In other words, will both Zaps fire on the new file creation, or is not a guaranteed result? The files are eventually going to end up in dropbox or Google drive, so the other option I considered is making 3 zaps. Zap 1 would fire on the new file being created in S3, and it would have a path to move it to either the dropbox csv or pdf folder, depending on file type. Zaps 2 & 3 would each run independently on the creation of a new file in their respective dropbox folders. Thanks,Bill
I am trying to create a new Zap that detects a new file in a Dropbox folderAnd then want it to fetch the contents of the file so that I can create a row in an Excel spreadsheet using the data from the originally found file in Dropbox (also an Excel file)The File is successfully found in Dropbox when testedThe Zap does seem to be able to create a row i.e. using the found file filename as the data to add to the rowBut I cannot see anywhere to add the contents of the Dropbox excel file to this row - i.e. it only presents the file credential info as options? Any help would be greatly appreciated for which I’m hoping is a simple Zap? Thanks, Kalps
Hi everyone, I was hoping for some advice. I am using Shopify for my clothing brand and have numerous designs going on to numerous garments. Shopify - OMS (the order management system my print supplier uses), All my artwork and jog files are in Dropbox. Is it easy to connect these all and populate the correct fields in OMS? Should I be creating a SKU code for each separate design and then creating a Dropbox folder for each SKU code? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated… I am a newby with Zapier but I have a database creation background in the past but I need a pointer in the right direction. Thanks Russell
Hello, I am trying to display some picture in my Glide App. Those pictures are currently stored in Google Drive. Unfortunately, my Google Workspace prevents user from sharing links outside the business and would like to leave it that way. Would there be a workflow I could create to save those pictures on Dropbox? I could then use the Dropbox link to feed my Glide App. It can be an other service than Dropbox, I dont mind. My last resort is to just save those pictures on Dropbox from the get go but that implies more manual work from my supervisor. Thanks
Can I create a zap that takes multiple WPForms uploads and write them to Dropbox? Today it only sends a .txt file showing the multiple attachments.
I have a zap that captures a WPForms entry with multiple attachments. It works great with one attachment. But, I may have between 1 and 5. When more than one, it sends a .txt file showing all the attachment locations. How can I upload them all and forward them to Dropbox?
i have set up a second zap. when a new email/attachment from outlook comes in from a particular person/subject i wanted the attachment to be saved to dropbox. However, when i run a test it only saves a text file? am i missing something?
I’m trying to create a Zap that would attach all pdf files from a specific Dropbox folder to an outgoing Gmail message, with a certain trigger (either a predefined time point or the creation of a new file).Any thoughts on how I could achieve this ?Thanks.
HiI am making a integration for Magento2 to Dropbox. On some orders a file upload is required. (To upload artwork for posters/rollups/signs etc.)So using Zapier I create a folder in our dropbox named the ordernumber, so the uploaded material can easily be found by our print-manager.However - I would like to create a dropbox-filerequest for the newly created folder. I can not do this using Zapier integration. I see that it has been on user wish list for some time now.Is the integration in the works, or has it perhaps been dropped?Thank you for a otherwise great product. /Tommy,-
Hi,I created a zap a few weeks ago that worked perfectly and still works. Downloading docusign completed docs and then uploading them to dropbox.Fastforward to yesterday, I tried doing it again with another dropbox account and in the run history it says “Data hydration failure - some fields may be missing”. At each step in the tests it worked fine - it was able to pull the envelope and upload the test one into the dropbox. But when its actually set to automate the process it doesnt work. The dropbox account, the zapier account and the docusign account are all on the business plans. Not really sure where ive gone wrong. I even duplicated the zap that has been working great and just swapped out the accounts and it still fails. Any idea what im doing wrong or how to fix?
I am new to Zapier and am trying to figure out how to move or copy newly created folders in DropBox to a Folder in DropBox. So far, all I see is the ability to move or copy files but not the whole folder The folder I want to move/copy has folders within it. I need to move all of these new folders to a common folder. I do not know the names of the newly created folders within the folder, only the name of the main folder they are in
Objective:Trigger: WooCommerce order is placed.Action: A folder is created with the order number and customer name and the folder is shared in a way that will allow them to upload files. The only Action I saw for Zapier is: Create Shared LinkDropbox Support Stated:"Dropbox Shared Links do not allow recipients to upload files for you to see. To see the uploaded files you can either share the folder with them directly, or send them a file request."In the Zap I setup I only see an option to create a share link for the folder but just like Dropbox support stated, the share link won't allow the recipient to upload files. How do I get Zapier to create a folder that can be shared with the recipient that will allow them to upload files?I do not see any action that allows this functionality.Action I expected on the platform but didn’t find:Action: Request a fileorAction: Share Folder What are my options?
How do I identify new, or new versions of Filevine files, and create a duplicate copy of them in Dropbox?
I am trying to setup zaps to create folders, and then copy new or existing documents housed in Filevine and create a duplicate file in Dropbox. I have no issue with the folder creation, but cannot seem to generate a zap to 1. Identify new, or new versions of files, and 2. Create a duplicate copy in Dropbox.

Would like to copy newly created dropbox files to another service INCLUDING files in subfolders. As we can’t do it now, I assume a limitation in the API… any updates coming/planned? (I’d like to monitor a whole folder structure and grab all files in it - even prepared to manually replicate the folder structure on the target first if necessary) thanks
I see there is a pre-made zap to connect background.bg to a specific dropbox folder, then it removes backgrounds from images, and uploads final results to a new folder. My problem:I don’t have one specific folder of images in Dropbox. I have many customers and each one has their own dropbox folder where they upload their photos. I need remove.bg to work with each customer folder when new images are detected. To be more specific on my current Zap flow:I have a contact form on my website> Creates customer Dropbox Folder > Create automated Dropbox file request url for uploading photos into the customer folder > gmail email to customer with the Dropbox file request url. What I need added:I need Remove.bg to work after customer uploads his photos to Dropbox folder in the Zap. Or maybe a new Zap needs to be created?I would also like the option to automatically email the customer the new folder with the removed background images.
Hey there all, quick question re. the Dropbox “Move File” action: I’m trying to use it in a multi-step zap where:A file is created in one dropbox folder (which serves as a sort of “inbox”) Then, a bunch of records are created in an Airtable base (not relevant here) A new folder gets created (a subfolder within another dropbox folder (Little delay, just in case) And once that’s done, the our friendly little file should be pushed into the folder the Zapp just created (to clear the inbox, if you will)Now, everything in this Zap works fine - except for the “Move File” action, which returns a “File/Folder not found” error. And that’s even though 1) both the file and destination folder exist, and 2) I’m using the “Path” values from Zap step 1 to specify the file via “Custom Value”, and the “Path” value from step 3 to specify the target destination … both of which seem to work because the Zap seems to pull the right data.I have no clue why this isn’t working; does anyone have an idea? Are file
