Zapier Static Dropdown Allows Multiple Sending only one value

I've built a Zapier App on Platform UI that calls a REST service on our domain. The app makes a GET request using a parameter name matchType that accepts a comma or semi-colon delimited array of values. i.e. "IND;HH" In the app, I've created an Input field with a Dropdown with "Allows Multiple" that maps to matchType and uses the following for the Dropdown Source. [{ "sample": "IND", "value": "IND", "label": "Individual - Match on first and last name and postal address" }, { "sample": "HH", "value": "HH", "label": "Household - Match on last name and postal address." } ] My issue is, regardless of how many options I select in the Dropdown, only the first choice makes it into the query string. What I'm expecting is multiple parameters concatenated with a comma because that seems to be what the Zapier documentation suggests. ex: matchtype=IND,HH Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to get the realmId from Quickbooks Online in Oauth2.0 flow

When setting up an app on the developer platform for Quickbooks Online I need to get one value that QBO gives in the Oauth2.0 flow but I cannot figure out a way to get this value.    So my Auth URL is set correctly as so: And when I authenticate via this flow intuit redirects back to my app url like so (I removed the values but the keys are the same) https://zapier.com/dashboard/auth/oauth/return/AppTTTTCLIAPI/?code=stuff&state=blue&realmId=xyz   NOTE: See the realmId=xyz at the end. That is the value I need. This is the ONLY time this value is given in the Oauth flow and there’s no API endpoint to request this value again.      This is basically happening where the red arrow is. it’s after the user goes to the Auth URL at intuit, and before Zapier calls the POST to the Access Token RequestTypically I would get the contents of a response to the Access Token Request though {{bundle.inputData.field}} or {{bundle.authData.field}} but since this realmId comes before the PO

Best process for transitioning from a Legacy app?

I have an integration set up using the Legacy Web Builder, and I want to transition that over to the new CLI platform. What’s the best way to do this? Is there a way to transition the existing users? I found this link which says a utility for migrating legacy web apps was coming “this year” and that was over a year ago. https://platform.zapier.com/news/introducing-zapier-platform-ui I can’t find any other info about that utility though.

Nested JSON in Action Step

This is the code that I’m using to call my API Endpoint:   And here’s the actual code: body: { "time_entry_sets": [ { "employee": { "account_id": bundle.inputData.account_id }, "start_date": bundle.inputData.Start_Date, "end_date": bundle.inputData.End_Date, "time_entries": bundle.inputData.time_entries } ] }   bundel.inputData.time_entries will have a JSON Array or Object passed to it like so: I used single quotes in here just to play it safe. Ideally I’d like to use the standard quotes but the platform escapes them.In code that JSON is:  [{'date': '2020-07-08', 'type': 'TIME', 'total': 18000000, 'pay_category': { 'id': 35122012 } }, {'date': '2020-07-09', 'type': 'TIME', 'total': 18000000, 'pay_category': { 'id': 35122012 } }]   My issue is that the Zapier Platform puts quotes around any variiable I put into the body JSON, in this case bundle.inputData.time_entries shouldn’t have a quote

I have a working custom integration and try to make it generic. What is best practice to display the unique zapier-generated oauth2 redirect url to other zapier users?  (in this case this URL needs to be pasted into app registration in the specific system)

Grab output from location header

I working on a Zapier connector that should add custommers and inovices to an ERP-system. It works fine, but to get to the next step where I can create invoices for a newly created cusomer, I need customerID in output from customer creation.  The API docs says:On successful POSTs/PUTs/PATCHs and DELETEs an empty body is returned. For successful POSTs/PUTs/PATCHs a Location header is given in all cases. From postman I read this header in return. It is the number in the circle I need to grab and use in further steps in Zapier. I’m stucked. Any suggestion how to do that?

Custom input fields with parameters from previous step

Hi,   At TeamworkIQ we’re trying to create an action which will have custom input fields. The inputFields will have two static fields and a function that will return a list of additional fields. This list will come from a request that includes the previous two values as ids in the Request URL.  We are trying to fill in the static fields with result data from a previous trigger that gives us the desired IDs, but trying to access bundle.inputData.process_no to get one ID returns {{82379216__process_id}}. Is there a way to access those actual values while building the Zap?

Zapier Input allow multiples

Hi. In input designer I set field to be Input field and checked allow multiples option. When I’m testing Api request, If I set multiple values in that field, I get only last value from that field in the request. Can I get all of that values?

Zapier Integration - Perform list with dummy data

I’m developing a Zapier integration but I am having some issues with the “perform list” fallback polling endpoint. I understand that the idea is that the user can have data for following steps, without having to actually trigger the event in the app, but I was kind of expecting a different behavior, which I’m not sure if it is attainable. What I had in mind was: The polling endpoint is requested when there is no actual data (no trigger), otherwise simply get the actual data from the trigger. Following that idea, I simply set the polling endpoint to return some dummy data, which should be enough for a user to set following steps (which is the point of the polling thing). However, it is indeed only returning the dummy data and not the actual one sent when it was triggered.   I had this idea because whenever I don’t set the endpoint in the trigger configuration, then Zapier will actually retrieve the real data that was sent when the Zap was triggered.    It seems a bit weird to me

How can I reference variables from Storage in the query my Zapier trigger uses to poll our database?

I have a Zapier integration trigger that calls an endpoint in our API to fetch any contacts that were updated after a specific timestamp.  A sample Zap would look at this list of contacts and add them as subscribers to a Mailchimp audience. The Zap also checks the timestamp on each of these contacts and compares it to the timestamp stored in Zapier storage. If the timestamp is later than the stored value, the Zap updates the stored value to this new latest value. This all works.  However, what I don’t know how to do is reference a variable from Zapier storage in our trigger. We need to pass this variable as a request body parameter in the API call the trigger makes to our database. Please check the attached image to see what the API call looks like.   The variable in storage has the key “last_modified”. It's value is a timestamp formatted as a long. e.g. {“last_modified”: 1594624147 }   Cheers!

Token response as an array

Hi, We are trying to implement oauth verification. When trying to reach the test endpoint it gets unauthenticated. Printing the code received ( bundle.authData.access_token ) - gives a result like this, an object; {   "0": "e",   "1": "y",   "2": "J",   "3": "0",   "4": "e",   "5": "X",   "6": "A", } How could we convert this into a normal string? And place it on the Authorization header? Thanks

How do you include a variable-size array output field in the output data returned by a trigger?

For the Zapier App that I am developing, I am configuring a Trigger of type REST Hook.  Say that my API returns details about soccer matches. The format of the data that gets posted to Zapier by my API would look something like this: [{"game_start_time": "2020-06-26","home_score": 2,"away_score": 1,"goals": [ { "time": "45+2", "player_name": "Lionel Messi", "team": "home" }, { "time": "65", "player_name":"Cristiano Ronaldo", "team": "away" }, { "time": "90+5", "player_name": "Lionel Messi", "team": "home" }],"attendance": 76000,"penalties": [ { "time": 21, "player_name":"Cristiano Ronaldo", "type": "yellow", "reason": "diving" }]}] I want to be able to allow a user of my App to consume all the output fields available from my API, including `goals` and `penalties`. When I try to specify these output fields, they don’t seem to be available when I try to create a new Zap. How do I add these fields?

Access to authentication test output data ?

Hi, I’m currently integrating my app on Zapier and I wanted to know if there is any way to have access to the authentication test output data into a trigger ? Concretely, my authentication test reques returns the current user ID like so : { "userId": "Q00ZZXuJmQakonYggNMkLGDs0y93"} I need to have access to this value in my triggers. I tried calling `bundle.authData.userId` but it’s incorrect.

Create bank transaction in Xero

Hello,   I’d like to build a Zap that creates a bank/sales transaction within Xero, rather than an invoice. I know this is possible through the API, but the action isn’t available within the Xero Zapier app.   I wondered if it is possible for me to either extend the app, or build a new app on the Zapier platform to do this?   Any advice would be appreciated.   Many thanks Andy

Help with "Trigger" output label result

Hello everyone, I’m facing an issue related “Output result” from my “Trigger”. Example: My “Trigger” will return result:  “{   "id": "3cc53c6a-c1be-4b35-8d95-4cb6b10df0f2",   "name": "Product One",   "customField68b13c15-dca4-4379-b886-e330ceb5b366": "0",   "customField90d4edc4-6ad7-4369-a896-294589326239": "1",   "customField0c720c0b-fee1-4b2f-91c1-94c8797f34b8": "1",   "customField2b8276ce-b4ec-4577-a1e3-834aad278426": "",   "customField621d5f06-5d32-44e1-b1d9-27616221b66c": "" }” I expect it will show “friendly name” for all custom fields in “Next step” of Zap apps. instead of “customfieldIds” We have hundreds of “customFields”, so we can’t input manually one by one “Output Label” for each custom fields. Please let me know how can solve the highlighted issue. Thank you.

How to hide passwords from showing in Task History?

Hi,   Our team is developing a premium zap app and we've noticed that the Task History is showing passwords as plain-text in the "Data In" part of certain steps that are performed. The use case we have is that in some steps an account must be created, together with Login and Password. From a security point of view, we do not want this password to be logged anywhere, but it seems the Zapier is keeping this data and showing it in the Task History.   Is there any way to mark an input field as "Do Not Log"?

Zapier is putting values like "{{92612409__id}}" instead of the actual value of that data( i.e like 123) .

I have an issue where I am getting data from an updated row of a Google Sheet, and I am using that key value pair in my own action, to access it I am using  bundle.inputData.machine_id_of_that_data which should return value fetched from Google Sheet like 123 or 590 or any integer, instead, what I am getting is something like  {{92713119_COL$A}} . I have seen the documentation of accessing the data inside of an action ( creates ) in cli and implemented them. Everytime I have tested it with default utility of zapier cli ( mocha, it gets replaced with the value that I give for example 490 ).   But while creating the zap, it doesn’t work

Zapier platform (GUI) - unable to fix T004 for triggers

Hi Zapier community! I’m trying to integrate our application into Zapier platform using the UI, and the only remaining publishing tasks pending to fix is related with triggers and related with the errors T004.   The polling URLs work and same response data is populated into the sample data of the “define your output”. But the publishing checks is complaining about the Static sample not matching the task history. Thanks in advance

Enabling a user to select a list from their CRM account in a new integration

I am building a Zapier integration for our own CRM application. A user of our CRM can have multiple lists, akin to how a user of Mailchimp can have multiple audiences. We would like to make it possible for a user to view a dropdown of all their lists and select the list they would like to use in the zap. For reference, this is possible as one of the first steps in setting up a Mailchimp zap. What is the recommended way to build step this into our integration? Cheers.

In our application each company that we support has its own domain name. This seems to mean that I would potentially have to create separate integrations for each customer. Is there a way this can be avoided? Do any other of your partners have a similar issue? How have they solved it?

Session Auth issue, requesting Session Token twice after it works first time

Hi, I am trying to setup Session Auth and am having some issues. Everything seems to be working locally when it runs but when i deploy it and test authentication in a Zap i am getting a strange error.   Here is what i would expect to happen for session auth. Post request to get auth token from auth endpooint token is used in “Test” request to verify that it works What i am seeing in logs is: Post request to get auth token from auth endpooint - Returns token token is used in “Test” request to verify that it works - Json is returned, I would think this means success and it ends here. Another post request to get auth token is performed and this time the auth token from first request  is added as a header so this fails. I cannot figure out why this is happening. I have attached my log below that shows the three requests
