Adding a new field in trigger output

Our Zapier Integration is in public beta. While making Zap Templates we’ve realized that we’ll need some more data to power some of the use cases. Do we need to follow the “promote > migrate > deprecate” flow for adding new fields in the API response that powers one of our Triggers? We don’t have any live users besides zaps created for testing.

Custom auth (API key) - how to invalidate/regenerate API key

We are building a Zapier integration using custom auth. Users can copy an API key from our platform into a new Zap, the (relevant) config is as follows: module.exports = { config: { type: 'custom', fields: [{ key: 'apiKey', label: 'API Key', required: true }] }};We want to offer Users to be able to regenerate this API key. This should turn off/invalidate existing Zaps where the key is used (either immediately or when a trigger is fired). How should we handle this?

I am trying to create a Private Zap for LuLu API from LuLu Publishing. Here is their documentation. CLI: Transforming type date, numeric from inputData to correct formats

Hey,I’ve created some dynamic fields: [ { "key":"date", "label":"Date", "type":"datetime" }, { "key":"number", "label":"Number", "type":"number" }]now datetime will be returned in ISO8601 but our API only allows dates in RFC 3339 format.That’s why I want to transform the ISO8601 to RCF 3339 but in my “perform”-method I only receive in “bundle” the “inputData” but not the type of the fields.Is there a way in which I can know in my “perform”-method of which fieldType the inputData is?Something like:{ "inputData":{ "date":{ "type":"datetime", "value":"2022-04-27T11:11:27+02:00" }, "number":{ "type":"number", "value":6 } }}

Filter Dynamic input field choices by name

Hello, I’m working on an integration and I’m struggling to filter by “name” the choices from an input field which is populated dynamically. I searched for a few days a way to do that, but I was unable to find something.This is the definition of my Create operation:  The fetch_contacts is a hidden trigger with this definition:  In the fetch_contacts trigger defition I added on line 8 the page to the request.Because we have a lot of marketing lists, we also want to add to request.params the search keyword.When I’m saying search keyword  I’m reffering to this from Zapier UI:  It’s annoying for an user to press the “Load More” button in the Zapier UI until he find the list he’s looking for. For example, let’s say our page batch size is 100 and the list he’s looking for is on the position 358. In that case, the user must press the “Load More” button 3 times, but this is totally counterintuitive.Basically, we want to call our APIs with the page and the search keyword, not only with the page.

Not seeing the newly pushed app version in zapier.

Hi we used to push our zapier version by command “npm run zapier-push” and it was working fine 3 month earlier. but now when I am running this and trying to push new version then push is successful and there is no error in terminal but I am not seeing my new version in list.also I have tried to use ‘Zapier push’ command getting this errorI have tried running the commands “npm i --save-dev @types...` ” but no success. can any one tell me what could be the possible issue. Thanks

Input field with type "file" only works if key is "file"

I have 2 input fields of the type “file”, the first one has the key “file” and the second one has a different key, something like “another_file” or “anotherFile”. When I set the same file from my Drive trigger as input in these fields it only works for the input field with the key “file”. See pictures.This test does work, First file field has key “file”.This test doesn’t work, Second file field has key “another_file”. When I’m using an url as input file they both work.

newbie - can I redirect the zap at completion to go back to another page on my website?

Hi I need to do more automation and link my website to my financials and calendar systems.   I have created and tested the first zap which I think will work.   the workflow is to access my calendar system (booklikeaboss), then payment (paypal) and invoice (xero).  I have done some basic zap creations and tests and all is good so far,  but the question is I think more basic.   as a last step of the zap, can I redirect the workflow back to a specific page within my website?

Line group item does not show up in the Zap

I noticed it was not hit throughout the whole process of creating, testing and publishing the Zap (Still in private mode/development mode) Trigger TypeREST HookSubscribeEnter the endpoint URL to create a new webhook subscription.UnsubscribeEnter the endpoint URL to remove a webhook subscription.Perform ListEnter the endpoint URL Zapier should check for recent items, to provide sample data in the Zap Editor. PerformThe perform function is called each time a new hook is received. Make any needed changes to the data before it's returned to the Zap. This is very confusing.

We build our Zapier app via CLI.  I am attempting to add dynamic fields.  The docs for field schema mention only the following as being valid options:string text integer number boolean datetime file password copy codeIs there no way to create a radio button/list or checkboxes?

Array only returns first item on Search Zapier CLI

Hello, I have a very simple question that I have not been able to find an answer to in the docs or here. I’m trying to create a custom Search Action that returns a list of objects. I’m trying to figure out how to return an array.  I’m using Zapier CLI . Here is the sample code: sample: [ {  classes: [      { name: "Test1",},     {name: "Test2",},   ],}] However Zapier CLI  throws an error: “sample is not of a type(s) object” I would expect this to be the entire array, NOT throw an error or return just the first object. How do I correct this behavior so that my Zapier Action to return an array and correct the error?

Quickbooks Integration: This account is expired. Please reconnect it here

I have created an app by zapier developer plataform to get new access token by quickbooks online, but every hour that the access token expires zapier disconnect the connection in My Apps > Custom Integrations and I have to reconnect again, but my Connection with quickbooks I did by email and password it doesn't have anything to do with the access token or refresh token.After I reconnect it continues working by 1 hour, after the token expired it havens again, asking to reconnect.    After reconnect, it works for 1 more hour.

How to add additional output fields using z-deduper

Hello, I’m using z-deduper in a trigger check for updates on my API endpoint. My API returns an array of objects that contains property. I can select a property with a dropdown button to only check for update on this property in each object. In order to do that, I have pretty much the same code as the example provided by the author of the z-deduper package. The only difference is that the object returned only cointains the property and it’s value ( instead of all the properties ).  My problem is that I need some other properties of the objects as output data to use them in my action ( for example the “id” property or the “label” property of my object ). How can I add those other properties to my outputFields ? I can’t put them into my object because otherwise z-deduper will also detect changes on those properties.  Thanks :) ps: My app is on CLI. Informations about z-deduper : https://github.com/ikbelkirasan/z-deduper

Is it possible to get the origination source for my inputFields values?

Background:I am developing a Zapier app (via CLI), where I’m adding a new `create` action with a hidden `trigger` for populating results via a `dynamic` attribute for `inputFields`.zapier-platform-core: `v11.2.0`Question Clarification: For one of my `inputFields` with `key: “campaign_id”`, I use the `dynamic` attribute to allow users to pick from a designated dropdown list for values that I can trust (the values are populated from an API call for specific “campaign types” that are allowed for this action); this works great as I can always trust that the value for `campaign_id` will be a valid option.However, users can also input their own value for `campaign_id` (whether copy-and-pasting, or pulling from a previous Zap step), this is fine as it provides the user with more flexibility. BUT I can no longer trust the `campaign_id` value when this is used; to address this, my creates perform function has to do a pre-flight `GET /api/campaigns/:campaign_id` request to confirm that the `resp

Handling deduplication on restarting a Zap after a month?

Scenario : I have a Zap which I ran for a whole month and switched it off. Consider there are 10000 ids in Deduplication table.Now Exactly after a month I restarted the zap. There are 10000 new records in the source system and the starting poll now returns 10000 new records. How the Zap is going to handle this 10000 new records considering the constraints we have on zap execution i,e. 30 seconds and the zap considers only the top 100 records.

App approval process by Zapier: Test vs Prod environment

Hello, I’m planning to submit my app for review. I have developed integration using test environment, we have production environment as well. Can we submit our app working on the test system and after review process, deploy integration into prod, can we change the connection parameters after? My policy is we cannot allow users to use zapier unless we get our app approved on zapier. Is it possible? and I want to know the right way of handling this kind of setup being reviewed.
