How to send access_token when running a trigger?

I am totally new to zapier.I am implementing a custom api and I am using Oauth2 as authentication method in zapier.I have been able to reply with the access_token, but when I receive the request from the trigger I do not receive the access_token or any info which allows me to identify the user.am I missing something?

Sample "Test Trigger" Data: Use "live" test data or "real" dummy data?

We are in the process of building out an app for Zapier. We cannot decide which is the best practice in showing Test Trigger Data:Live Trigger Data: We have noticed that we can either pull the live trigger data IF the event was triggers right before building the ZapPros: it is a True test trigger, making the user feel they are successfully building the Zap correctly Con: If the user does not know they have to perform the event right before setting up the Zap, they will not get test trigger data and might think something is wrong with their Zap. OR “Real” data: we can always populate the trigger data with real data based on the end user’s account, but it might not be an event that triggered the data (for instance, imagine setting up a Google Sheet “new row added” trigger: If there is a row that already exists, we pull that data in to show as “test trigger” data) Pros: You (almost) always have “real” Trigger Test data that is directly from your account to use to continue to the Actions C

Add Line Item to Credit Note in Xero

Has anyone been able to create a private app to  add a line item to an existing Xero credit note?The  public Zapier Xero app has an Add Line Items to Sales Invoice action. I’m curious how this was done as the Xero API Reference documentation does not seem handle this.

I can see in the UI documents that you can link a create action to a search actions so if the search returns nothing it automatically runs the create action. I can’t see anything on how to add that vis the CLI inteface.Can you tell me hoe to do it or point me at the documentation that will tell me.

Help modifying array/string before posting/patching

I have a three step zap for updating a client in our CRM, triggered if they open an email from a 3rd party application. I’ve successfully created the trigger (1) that finds the subscriber from the CRM (2) and returns an object, structured as following (omitting non-necessary data):{ "data": { "type": "prospect", "id": 1436, "attributes": { "tags": [ "California","C-Level","AZ","CIO","PST" ] } }}The 3rd step asks the user for a New Tag to add to “tags”, whereby I need to append the New Tag to the existing list of tags.I am successful in posting (patch in my case) to the API, but my data is malformed and ends up being one long string as a tag (literally, the tag at the CRM is “California, C-Level, AZ, CIO, PST, TestTag” instead of individual tags). Developing a Zapier integration with a public API, how to skip authentication?

Hi! I am using a public API. It shows ingredients of products by searching their UPC. I seem to have everything sorted out correctly other than the authentication part. To search by UPC on the website, it does not require a log in. Adding After afterResponse error handing breaks authentication

I’ve added the following error handling to the middleware using the ‘afterResponse’ property. This seemed to work for the validation of the action responses but it breaks the authentication which dies with the error below. If I take the ‘afterResponse’ property out authentication works. How should data validation errors be returned?

Within my API, validation errors are returned with a HTTP error 400 and a message.When I test the API as an action in Zapier and hit a validation error, zapier flags the zap as failed, emails me to tell me there is an issue but all I get is the first word of the error message as Zapier truncates the messageWhat happened (You are seeing this because you are an admin):Stack trace: ResponseError: {"status":400,"headers":{"content-type":"application/json"},"content":"{\"success\":false,\"message\":\"AnHow should I be returning validation errors from my API so that Zapier will handle them in a more friendly error. After Removing Zapier Actions And Triggers , Migrate User Not Works.

Hello- Suppose we have a zapier version 1.20.15, we just clone it and make it a patch version 1.20.16.Its clone successfully.On this new version (1.20.16) , we removed few triggers and actions.After that when trying to migrate user to this new version, its say removed action and triggers keys are missing.Can you please guide how to migrate user to new version after removing (not hiding) few zaps and actions ?P.S. I also tried by shifting to major version (2.0.0), but still same error). Also attaching screenshot for the error.

Webhooks unsubscribehook doesn't work

Although we’re successfully subscribe, when we turn off our zap, hook does not deleted from our database.data returned from subscribehook is:{ message: ‘Hook added’, id: ’60b88dfda8b6dd0017692fd5’ }isn’t bundle.subscribeData.id supposed to give id from the object above.

When is subscribe rest hook fired inside an app?

Actually I am configuring a subscribe hook inside my app’s rest api settings. But everything is correct but I am not sure why its not being called when I enable a zap. All other hooks like auth, get data etc are working, but I want to subscribe when a zap is created, but that hook is not being called. Can any body let  me know when that ‘subscribe’ hook is being called in zap creation process?? Thanks

Dynamic redirect and access url for oauth2

I am developing an app for use with my SaaS application that has multiple instances used by customers around the world.  The initially login to app.6clicks.io which then, based on their location, redirects to app-us.6clicks.io, app-uk.6clicks.io, app-au.6clicks.io.   We have an oauth2 identity provider which can be used with zapier no issue, but based on the different app locations and databases, need the redirect and access URL to be dynamically set (as well as then the api URL). What’s the best way to do this?

Trigger order of execution

Our integration uses rest hooks on our end to support triggers in Zapier for our customers, e.g, when X event happens, we `POST` some data to Zapier. Something we see happen rarely is that two events will happen within quick succession, we’ll `POST` both events in the order that they happened, but they then might be executed in a different order. Here’s an example scenario:Event A happens in our app and is `POST`ed to the customer’s Zap Event B happens in our app <5s later and is `POST`ed to the customer’s Zap Event B is processed by Zapier Event A is processed by ZapierThese events being processed in a non-chronological order can lead to old data overriding new data if both events pertain to the same record.My questions are:Are triggers guaranteed to be processed in the order they are received? If not, is it possible to specify an order of execution for triggers? Failing that, is there a suggested workaround? Thanks in advance!

Input field with type "file" only works if key is "file"

I have 2 input fields of the type “file”, the first one has the key “file” and the second one has a different key, something like “another_file” or “anotherFile”. When I set the same file from my Drive trigger as input in these fields it only works for the input field with the key “file”. See pictures.This test does work, First file field has key “file”.This test doesn’t work, Second file field has key “another_file”. When I’m using an url as input file they both work.

Dynamic field auto-select or leave blank

Hello,I have a small problem with a dynamic field.Even if it’s parent (the Event selector) changes, the old value remains stuck in the dynamic field (Tickets selector). I would like to auto-select the first available option or leave it blank (the dynamic filed → Tickets) after each change on it’s parent (Event). See my images below: Initial state: After the change: Option’s list populated, but the selected option is from a previous event: Can I auto-select it the first option after the change? Or clear the Ticket’s (dynamic field) value?
