Unable to setup Zapier for development

I am trying to set up a new dev machine. I run the command as specified in the documentation but I get many warnings and when it's done I get the following when I try to run the zapier command to login. Seems like the installation is just not working anymore. "View Source" now available in the web-based developer tool

We added a simple, but useful, new feature to our web based developer tool this week - the ability to see the source definition of your Zapier integration.  To see the json definition of your Zapier integration, click Advanced on the left-hand navigation, and then choose “View Source”.   This is handy for those who want to look a little deeper into how their integration is represented in the Zapier platform. Have a look at the schema documentation and you’ll get a pretty complete understanding of what you’re building when you create a Zapier integration.When you work with the Zapier CLI you are essentially creating this definition, directly in JavaScript.A number of developers have expressed the need to be able to identify and confirm changes from one version to another.  Here’s a quick demo of the feature, and how you can use this source definition to get a diff of two versions of your integration: Watch Version Diff Demo

Trouble setting up authentication oAuth v2

I am trying to setup oauth2 authentication with my application. I have a parameter state that I am setting as 3. Status Code 401 Unauthorized

Hi, We have used OAuth2.0 in our application but in Zapier when we used the Oauth2.0 and tested it, it was through an error. SO we have tried with Basic Authentication Type in Zapier and It's working fine for OPEN API but rest of the API it's give 401 unauthorized status code. Any ideas what is going wrong?

Cannot upload files

Hi!I have created a new integration with my API in Zapier. The problem is when I need to upload a file in my API. First of all I catch the file in Google Drive and fill my text field with the data provided for Drive. But muy API throw an error, because the form data in zapier didn’t send the file. I have tried out to set Content-type in multipart/form-data and didn’t run.

Testing a custom trigger that returns a hydrated response

Hi,I have developed a custom trigger that fires when leave is approved in our payroll system. The custom integration is built using the Zapier CLI and uses REST Hooks to receive leave requests “instantly”.Everything is working well in the simple case and the trigger will output data from the webhook request to pass on to our timesheet system.Unfortunately the webhook request doesn’t contain enough information to identify the employee in the timesheet system, so it is necessary to make an additional request to lookup the employee details. I have used a hydrator to lazily load the employee data when the downstream task requires the extra info. This all works as expected.The problem is the response from `performList` that is used to test the trigger. Currently `performList` fetches a list of leave requests from the payroll system. However the test data does not contain the dehydrated employee details. If I use the dehydrator in the `performList` function, the test data contains an encoded

Issue with refresh token flow (validate endpoint)

Hi everyone!We’re developing an integration with Zapier, and while most of the OAuth v2 works well, the refresh flow is not working for us. It seems that Zapier instead of polling our triggers in every 15 minutes, and after it gets a 401 calling into the refresh endpoint, it is calling the /validate endpoint for our OAuth platform, which gives back 400 so the refresh flow never happens.Does anyone know when, where, why calls Zapier into the /validate endpoint?Can we alter Zapier’s behaviour to only call into the auth endpoint then the token endpoint, get an access token, call our service with that token over and over until it gets a 401 from our service, then call into the refresh token endpoint on our oauth platform? My team does not own the oauth platform, so I doubt modifying the /validate behavior to give back 401 is a valid route for us.Any ideas?Thanks,Daniel

Seeing app "version blocked" message

What would cause a zapier version to get locked?  We had an issue where environment settings were updated incorrectly, leading to errors.  When we tried to fix this, we noticed our zapier version has been locked.  This wasn’t done on our end (that we know of).  What are some reasons why a version would get locked in zapier?

How to link a create action to a search action in CLI

I can see in the UI documents that you can link a create action to a search actions so if the search returns nothing it automatically runs the create action. I can’t see anything on how to add that vis the CLI inteface.Can you tell me hoe to do it or point me at the documentation that will tell me.

Action dependent on an ID

Hi, I have seen one issue constantly coming up whenever I’ve to build a custom action.Scenario: I am building a custom action which creates an order but the order has to be created against a customer therefor, it requires customer_id in the request body. Customer ID is a readonly field and resides inside the app X.But if we trigger data from app Y into app X to create an order it won’t work since it requires customer_id.Is there a way to handle this scenario? In the past I’ave made use of Look-Up table but that workaround doesn’t work most of the times?

Issue with OAuth2 token when testing authentication

I have setup the OAuth2 as described in zapier document. All things are fine upto Step 4.In Step 5: When I setup OAuth Account, it redirects me to login page where I enter the credentials and also it works fine.But when I do the test authentication by making call to API for test authentication, request success with 200, but authentication fails. I am not sure where is the exact error, I cannot see logs of zapier that what token is send or what is the reason for Authentication failure.Please suggest me right ways to fix this issue.

Webhook - Can payload be decrypted

Hello!I am not currently a Zapier customer but a potential integrator for our customers that use this service.We’re looking to possibly use a webhook to send some information, which could be sensitive in some cases. We were thinking of encrypting the JSON payload with a shared secret.With Zapier, would a customer receiving this encrypted payload be able to decrypt it in Zapier to then process that data how they wish?Thank you!

Trigger Order

According to the documentation listed hereTriggers are originally listed in the order you add them to your integration. As people use your integration, Zapier will show your integration’s most popular triggers first, automatically reordering them based on popularity. You cannot set a trigger to always be in a specific order in your integration’s trigger list. But Im seeing that on main page, the triggers appears apparently in alphabetic order.Example: During Make a Zap But on main Zapier page So my questions are:Is there a way to set an order using Zapier cli? Is there a way that the trigger order will be the same all over the app?

Authorization into own rest api

Hello everyone!Preface: I am zapier early beginner, and it’s my first task with this platform :)I am currently working on own zapier developer integration with our company product.So, the problem is that I need to provide an access_token which has 15 minutes to live, I do not have any oauth client and web application(only mobile application). So how can i refresh my access_token, when my zap is running?P.S In application we do not have login/password auth, only by mobile phone and 6 digit code.Please tell me full algorithm, what should I do.Thanks in advance!

Why is number string being interpreted as a date in Zapier?

Hello- Here are the details of my issue.I have a trigger that executes and then action will follow it and do a particular work.In this trigger we have a filed named as  “insured_insured_id”. This field is string in nature.End user can put either number or alphanumeric. e.g 100698 or 123ABC .When user enter number like 100698 , zapier gives the following error. Field "insured_insured_id" is not a valid ISO-8601 date in latest task (task ID: 00a2cd57-0646-ad14-83b6-fe2f097714e1).We are very close to publish over application but this issue is the main hurdle.Kindly help to fix this bug. I am also attaching the images for reference. Many Thanks-

Setup Quickbooks OAuth2 on Zapier
