Formatting a request in Code mode for a custom Action

I’m a novice so hoping someone smarter than me can lend a helping hand here.I’m testing out a custom app for Outreach.io. How to automate actions for users?

is there any possibility which help me to automate actions for end user? I need to create a zap which will have a trigger and an action. I want end user to use directly that zap. Is there any way it can be achieved? For example in the action I need to select some formats of data to be sent. All those format will be redefined by me, can be used by any user via Zapier.Thank you in advance for help.

Can’t edit version - “You can’t edit this version” error

My version show me this message when I tried edit “ You can’t edit this version, Since this version of your integration has more than 5 active users, you have to create a new editable version by cloning your integration.” But I have only 4 admin users. Then How can I Upddate? How can I fix it?

Unable to fetch refresh token: invalid_grant.

What should happen when Zapier receives an ‘invalid_grant’ reply from the authorisation server when it asks to refresh token?  It seems to me that in my attempt at inegration it keeps asking using the same token and nothing ever gets reset.

Make sample data dependent on an input field

I have an Action for looking up a record in my app, in which I have an Input Field with a static Dropdown that allows the zap builder to pick the object. (It works just like the Find Record action in the Salesforce integration)Since this one Action can be used for 10 different objects, I have limited the Sample Data to the only field that every object will have, which is the ID.Now when creating a Zap Template that uses this Action, it is giving me errors because I don’t have Sample Data for the object I’m using in the Template. For example:I want to filter on whether the record has a Salesforce Opportunity ID, but the filter gives an error if I don’t specify a Sample Data field. I want map fields in subsequent steps but can’t do it without Sample Data.Is there a way to make my Sample Data dynamic so it changes depending on which object is selected in the Object Input Field?Are there any other ways to make Templates with Actions for generic objects? Or do I have to create a Find Record

Code Storage Exceeeded Error when reconnecting an integration

We have a custom integration that we’ve been using for months without a problem until sometime over the past day or so.  It looks like the connection to our own servers expired, but when I try to reconnect it I’m getting this error: We hit an error adding your new accountauthentication failed: An error occurred (CodeStorageExceededException) when calling the CreateFunction operation: Code storage limit exceeded. I then added some code on our own servers and checked our internal server logs to see if Zapier was even hitting our servers and it doesn’t look like it’s hitting our servers at all and the error is occuring before it even hits our internal API.I’m tried editing the Integration and adding a new test trigger to troubleshoot but am getting constant Internal Server Error messages when I try to do anything when editing the Integration. Has anybody ever seen this error before/know how to resolve it or does anybody know if there’s a larger issue at play here?  Thanks!

Upper limit on length of array in API response?

While building the “trigger” part of a Zapier integration, I am sending an array of objects being developed on fly using the DB layer behind the back-end API. But I don’t want to send a huge array covering all the rows of a particular table (say recipes), What I understand Zapier expects the array of  ~ 25 objects (got this number from a video by Zapier’s Engineering Manager) and it will figure out the new entries and accordingly will trigger the “trigger”. But this raises the question what if we have more than 25 or may be 100s of objects being added between 2 polls of Zapier, how to handle such situation?Should I keep track of the id number to which we have submitted to Zapier and send array of objects only beyond that id? If this is the recommended practice what can be good architecture philosophy to implement the same, I mean what are the best practices to do this?I would like to know the brief architecture of the Zapier, particularly the trigger part so that we can plan the integr

Posting Custom Fields to an API that expects key/value pairs

I have an Action that posts data to my API for my SaaS app. We’ve recently added a Custom Fields feature to our app, in which our users can define the key and field label.I obviously can’t put the key into the integration because my integration needs to work for all client instances. So looking for advice on the best approach to handle this.Should I create a Dynamic Field? Seems like I would need a new API endpoint to look up the custom field keys.Or is their an easier way to do this where my users can map data from the Trigger to custom fields in the zap?

Send logs to Microsoft App Insights (applicationinsights-web)

I am trying to send diagnostic data from within the integration to Azure Application Insights. Zapier hanging on 'loading' screen when creating a trigger or action

I’ve just uploaded a new version of our zapier integration.I’m now trying to create a new zap using our integration.When I try to setup an trigger or an action zapier hangs with a ‘loading’ message.This happens when using on of our integrations triggers but it also happens when setting up an action using zapiers built in ‘Send Outbound Email’.In both cases if I refresh the page the trigger or action form comes up and I can fill it out as expected. What is going on here? Edit: FYI I’ve tried an empty cache/hard reload in chrome dev tools. If it makes a difference I’m running linux with chrome Version 94.0.4606.81 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Best way to provide suggestions for text field

I’m currently developing a Zapier integration for Condens. I have a couple of fields that I load dynamically from our server and that accept multiple text values. These text values will in most cases by from a list of pre-defined values, but it’s also possible to add ones that aren’t on that list. I’m wondering how to best support that in the UI.If I set the choices property in the field spec to my list then it’s hard/impossible to select a value that isn’t on the list.Basically what I’m looking for is a way to show those item on the list as suggestions, but still allowing to select different ones. Any ideas?

Missing the "id" property

Hello everybody, i recently tried to create my own Trigger for my Zap.But after Testing i always get the same error. Is there any way how i could map the “id” from Zapier with one of my id’s from my API? As an example map my TicketId with the “id” that Zapier needs.

Unsubscribe endpoint "Static Hook Is Discouraged" issue

I have tried to submit the Zap for review, but I got the issue like ‘Static Hook Is Discouraged’ and it asked to enter the unsubscribe url, if I entered the unsubscribe url in the triggers part  it will overcome this issue. But If I entered the unsubscribe url then my trigger not working correctly also I can’t able to see the correct result in the action side Any suggestions please

Improvement: Document link redirecting to 404 page

hi,just helping to organize. In this page, link is redirecting to wrong url (https://platform.zapier.com/docs/api) instead of (https://platform.zapier.com/docs/apikey) Red highlight is referring to wrong url while Blue highlight is correct.

Will releasing a new version of an integration break existing zaps?

If an integration is in production, and the need to add fields or functionality arises because the feature set of the source or destination apps increase, will releasing a newer version of the integration cause existing zaps to fail? Or, will the current users of the zap just not have the additional functionality until they make edits to their zaps?

Hi, I have 2 Zapier accounts, a private one and a company accountI’m developing our Zapier app, so I have already a users/me/.zapierrc file, and it seems that if I run Zapier login, I’ll overwrite the file, is this correct?If yes, is there a way to have now a second one for my private account, without using a second computer or creating a second user on my OS? Thanks

Hey! I added a rest hook trigger to the test zap, but found that when adding (DELETE) https://example.com/rest/zapier/hooks/{{bundle.subscribeData.id}} the value {{bundle.subscribeData.id }} turns out to be empty. Is this some kind of bug or do you need to tweak something further?
