OAuth2 flow with client secret and PKCE

Hi!I know this question has been asked before but in those cases the comments are now closed and I would like to add some additional input. I have been asked to create a zapier app to integrate with out API and have hit a road block at the aurthentication stage.  Our token server enforces PKCE along with client id/secret. I’ve seen replies on here suggesting that PKCE is used as a replacement for client secrets but that’s not the case here (and seems a fairly common scenario). From https://oauth.net/2/pkce/PKCE was originally designed to protect the authorization code flow in mobile apps, but its ability to prevent authorization code injection makes it useful for every type of OAuth client, even web apps that use a client secret. I’d rather not go down the route of disabling these checks in our IDP if possible so any suggestions on a way forwards would be helpful. Many thanks!

Where & When can I client_id in Partner API?

I want to access Partner API to get a list of all the apps, templates, zaps, etc. I need to get the “access token”. I can procure access token by callinghttps://zapier.com/oauth/authorize?client_id={client_id}&redirect_uri={redirect_uri}&scope={scope}But, where & when (before publish or after publish) can I find client_id (application id)?

Trigger with 2 webhooks

Can a trigger have 2 subscribed webhooks? Let’s say I have 2 webhooks which kind of represent the same event in Zapier but which are fired under different circumstances in my own app.so instead of creating now a 3rd hook which would be used by my Zapier integration and which would be fired under both circumstances in my app, I thought it would be probably cleaner to handle this on the Zapier side.I’m using following way to subscribe to a hook https://platform.zapier.com/cli_tutorials/resthooks , so in theory I should be able to run the request which subscribes the Zapier webhooks , but I’m not really sure if this is the best approach. Is anybody here doing something similar?

Any integration with Azure Auto Pilot

Hi everyone,I’m looking for an integration with Azure’s Auto Pilot device depository of hardware hash. Basically I was looking for an API which I can use to “deposit” hardware hashes into my Azure tenant device inventory but sadly one does not seem to exist natively from Microsoft.So then I am reaching out to the community to seek some help. I have a completely automated vehicle to go out and harvest my Auto Pilot device hashes (equivalent to the manual get-windowsautopilotinfo.ps1) but what I am missing is the method to “deposit” those hashes automatically into my tenant.The obvious answer (use -online option for the PS1) isn’t really an answer so I am looking for someone who may have used Zapier to automate this process. The hardware hash is a given -- my question is how to you upload it automatically to Azure’s tenant account?Thank youBoyan

Establishing Connection to my Application which is deployed in Private Network

Hi,I am analyzing the Zapier platform feasibility for one of my application. The following question is for connecting an application which is available only in private network.My application is deployed inside a private network and won't be accessible to public and I want Zapier to connect to that deployment from the Zapier zap configuration. I cannot open any ports for my application outside the private network.The solution I am expecting from Zapier is to have a program / service that I can use inside my private network which helps only Zapier Platform to access the application outside the network.Does Zapier support any way to achieve this?

Hello ,I integrated my application with Session auth. now I am going to create trigger its work fine. But the problem which I face is, want to apply condition that the value return only when type is 3.Should I do this in code? As in image I want to apply “item[“type”] = 3” in response.

Enter dynamic date field in Zapier trigger

I added “dateSince” and “dateTill” fields as input fields because they are required and there a max period of 3 months allowed between them. Given that I want my trigger to always poll the latest data I need to insert dynamic dates in the input fields instead of fixed values.I found this https://zapier.com/help/create/customize/insert-the-time-your-zap-runs-into-a-field#zap_meta_utc_iso but it seems to work only for actions steps. Any idea how to achieve this?Thank you

"Zap Could Not Be Switched On" error

Hello,I created a REST hook trigger for an app, then I created a Zap for it.All Zap creation steps pass.But, when enabling it, I receive an email saying "Zap Could Not Be Switched On".Also, if I make a request to the hook URL, it replies with 410.What's wrong ?Thanks

What is the correct return value for perform Unsubscribe?

All of the examples for unsubscribing a REST HOOK, including the code generated from the form based app, show the function returning a value, for instance:https://github.com/zapier/zapier-platform/blob/master/example-apps/rest-hooks/triggers/recipe.js Unfortunately all of the examples merely show passing through the return from the web request without any particular detail and as far as I can find it is nowhere documented what the upstream code *expects* to be returned here or what the implications of various options are. Does the the return value of this function actually do anything?

We couldn't find a static lead after app upgrade

Hello. I am working on a zapier cli app for sending leads to Zapier. I have set up a sample lead which works fine when I am creating a zap for the first time. The problem is that when I push a new version of my app and try to update the existing app to the new app version I can’t test the trigger anymore. This is the error I get: We couldn't find a leadCreate a new lead in your   EMAIL account and test your trigger again. Does anyone know why the sample data can’t be retrieved after upgrading the app version? Note the nothing new is in the new version, I just bumped the version number. Note: We set performList to a function that just returns a static lead.

When uploading a PDF file from Quickbooks new invoice trigger, the file size is 0

OAuth, Session, need to reconnect manually, how to make it persistent ?

Hello, It’s been days and days that I’m trying to keep a stable connection using OAuth 2 behind an Identity Server 4.I can log in, it works like a charm. My private zap works too.The only problem is that when the token expires, there is no refresh. Using session auth doesn’t work too, it asks for credentials every time i test my zap.I have read the documentation, read forum topics and applied everything that could be but nothing works as expected. For OAuth2 configuration : I’ve set :Authorization url and keeped default request body Access token url and keeped default request body Refresh token url (which is the same as access token) but set these parameters in the body (as seen on another topic in this forum) I haven’t checked the “I want to automatically refresh on unauthorized error” because it makes first connection crash saying refresh_token field is missing. This configuration works well during my access_token life. When I wait for him to expire, then launch again the test reques

Webhook error "Got a non-object result in the array, expected only objects"

Hi,I’m creating a simple API (WebApi C#) and am attempting to create a Web Hook in Zapier. I’ve set this up and it’s testing okay in both the API set and Zapier Editor. However when I attempt to Trigger the event I’m getting the error below. I’ve tried directly posting via Postman to the Zapier endpoint that was subscribed with the same result. AWS Cognito oauth - account is expired as soon as it's linked

Hi there, I’m setting up a custom zapier integration, but something seems wrong with our oauth setup. I’m testing from the Authentication view in the dev console. I click “Sign in to {MY_APP},” our AWS Cognito front-end opens in a pop-up, I sign in successfully, the account appears in the Zapier dev console and then immediately says “This account is expired. Please reconnect here.” Reconnecting doesn’t help because the account just expires immediately again.I believe this is the same issue as below, but it doesn’t appear that that issue got answered. I don’t think the answer in there applies; they’re suggesting to modify the test endpoint, but my test endpoint will never succeed because I can’t get an account linked. Appreciate any help anyone can provide here!Thanks,Matt

Company looking into using Zapier - couple of questions

Hi all - I’m SRE for my company.  We currently have data we collect, and clients of ours who wish to receive this collected customer information in near real-time to their various CRM systems.  Right now we have many individual AWS lambda integrations that bend to the will of whatever the company is requesting as far as their choice of platform to receive the data.I’d like to look into Zapier as a single platform our data gets sent to, and then from there they can figure out how to get into their own systems using one of the available methods.I do not know if it is possible, but I would like to know if we can build an app on the Zapier side in our company name, that they can select that app, and enter a key we provide them.  From there, they can see the incoming “records” and pick an automation to send it to their desired platform.One of the pitfalls of our current method is that missed posts get lost, for example if we try to connect to their API and it is down, or errors out.If we we

Zapier OAuth redirect URL takes the user back to Zapier with a 404

hi! We are working on a Zapier integration using the OAuth v2 flow.After the user is successfully logged in on our app then the app redirects the user back to the Zapier OAuth redirect url e.g https://zapier.com/dashboard/auth/oauth/return/XXXCLIAPI/. However when the user is redirected to the mentioned Zapier OAuth redirect url (along with the authorization code) it throws a 404 error on the Zapier platform.Are we missing something here? How is this redirect supposed to work?

parse XML response in zapier custom app

Hi I am trying to create an zapier custom app but when I am trying to do a search and parse the response. It returns an xml which is correct response from the service.
