How to hide passwords from showing in Task History?

Hi,

Our team is developing a premium zap app and we've noticed that the Task History is showing passwords as plain-text in the "Data In" part of certain steps that are performed.

The use case we have is that in some steps an account must be created, together with Login and Password. From a security point of view, we do not want this password to be logged anywhere, but it seems the Zapier is keeping this data and showing it in the Task History.

Is there any way to mark an input field as "Do Not Log"?

Hi @Sebastiaan Heukels!

There isn’t a way to mark an input field as ‘do not log’ - sorry about that.

Generally, Zapier shouldn’t be used to pass usernames and passwords or create accounts.

Hi @Danvers ,

Thank you for your reply, though I'm sad to hear it. Account synchronization (creating them in 1 system when they're created in another) is an important use case to us.

Do you know if there's any such features on the roadmap for Zapier?

This would also be useful in general where PII data might go across the wire from system A to system B.
