How do you clone an integration?

I am having trouble cloning an existing integration and I’m wondering if the functionality is unavailable or I’m just having a hard time finding it. Believe it or not I did search the documentation and this forum but nothing came up.

I understand it is possible to clone a “version” of an integration - however I would like to clone the entire integration because I will want to have more than one version published at a time - one would point at a different datacenter.

Hey @jwhitwill 👋

You’re quite right, it is only possibly to clone into a new version of an existing integration: https://platform.zapier.com/docs/versions#cloning

It is not possible to copy an existing app into a whole new other app.

To build a brand new app, with the same functionality, but different endpoints, you’ll need to replicate the app in the Visual Builder manually.

If you’re using the CLI: https://platform.zapier.com/docs/vs#zapier-platform-cli-command-line-interface - you can make a copy locally and ‘push’ to a new app ID, but this wouldn’t be possible if you’re building in the Visual Builder UI.

Sorry I couldn’t give you better news here!

Thanks for confirming! We’ve switched to the cli approach.
