Building a Zap to work with the StarChapter Platform

We recently moved to StarChapter as our webhost, which comes with an events payment and registration framework.  How can I create a custom zap from scratch that can tap into the StarChapter account so that new event registrants trigger a ZAP?

Thanks so much for looking into this, @David Mercer !  I’m assuming that from StarChapter’s response that I’m supposed to ask them about API now?  I only have a vague understanding of those things -- is there any “layman’s terms” sort of documentation for how/what I’m supposed to be looking for when I start asking about API?

Thanks!

Just chatted with StarChapter support...”We are a proprietary software. API needs to be discussed on a case by case basis with our development team.“

@SMPS_LA Since Zapier does not have an out-of-the-box with Zapier, you have several options.  This is all assumming StarChapter has an API library.

  1. Find the StarChapter API documentation
  2. You can use the Zapier Webhook  (https://zapier.com/page/webhooks/)
  3. Use the Zapier Visual Builder (https://www.udemy.com/course/zapier-visual-builder/)
  4. Hire a Zapier Expert to build the Zap for you (https://integration.mercology.net/)
  5. Both of these require an understanding of APIs and how to do HTTP Requests and work with JSON in HTTP Responses.

Let me know if you have other questions.
