Google Calendar event to Airtable - syncing field type

I have a field type that already exists in Airtable called “Social Media”. However, when I sync my google event it creates another field type instead of syncing with the existing field type. 

 

Is it possible to make it sync so it uses an existing field type?

Hi @sarahjoldenburg Thanks for your question and I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you!

 

The Airtable Zapier integration doesn’t respect field types, so it wont be able to use your existing social media field type - I’m sorry about that!

​We do have an open feature request to add this support and I've added you as another vote for this addition. That lets the Airtable team know how many users are interested in the update and also means that we will send you an email if we have an update on this.
