Be Respectful ✌️

This is a shared community resource that benefits everyone, so please act civilized and treat each discussion and interaction with respect and offer feedback always in a constructive manner. Discussions and posts created with the intention to create a strong negative or emotional reaction are prohibited. The conversations we have here set the tone for everyone. Help us influence the future of this community by choosing to engage in discussions that make this forum an interesting place to be – and avoiding those that do not.

Be Mindful and Organized 🧹

If we can all make the effort to put things in the right place, we can spend more time discussing and less cleaning up. Here are some simple ways to help out:

  • Search for your subject before creating a new topic. A member may have posted your same question or concern already.
  • Don’t cross-post the same thing in multiple topics. Spamming or off-topic posting will result in review and possible removal of content. Subsequent violations will result in a temporary or permanent ban from Community.
  • Rather than taking an existing topic in a radically different direction, start a new topic. If starting a new topic, make sure it is in the correct category (Ask the Community, Tips & Inspiration, etc).

Stay on Topic 🎯

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later. The conversations we have here set the tone for every new arrival.

Safety (and Privacy) First 🦺

Use common sense and good judgment when interacting with others. You may not post anything digital that belongs to someone else without permission and please don't share anything about yourself or other members that you/they wouldn't want to be publicly available.

The Zapier Logo and Employees 👷‍♀️‍

You may notice some community members with the Zapier badge or labeled as "Zapier Staff Member". This means they are Zapier employees. 

👉We encourage Zapier staff members to share their knowledge and opinions here like everyone else but please keep in mind that they may not be able to respond to every post and you should not expect that your post will necessarily receive a response from an Zapier employee.

Flagging Inappropriate Content 🚩

Moderators have special authority; they are responsible for this forum. But so are you. With your help, moderators can be community facilitators. When you see behavior that violates our code of conduct, don’t reply. It encourages the bad behavior by acknowledging it, consumes your energy, and wastes everyone’s time. Just flag it. If enough flags accrue, action will be taken, either automatically or by moderator intervention.

In order to maintain our community, moderators reserve the right to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time. Moderators do not preview new posts; the moderators and site operators take no responsibility for any content posted by the community. Moderator actions and the contents of private exchanges with moderators, staff members and administrators should not be shared or discussed on the public forums. Such material will be removed by moderators. Affiliate/referral links 🔗

Affiliate and referral links are not allowed in the community. An affiliate link is a link to a website that has been encoded with a tracking cookie. When someone clicks on the link, the cookie tracks what that person buys from the site. The “owner” of the link will then receive a commission for referring the sale. If you post an Affiliate or referral link in the community, the link will be deleted and you will receive a warning from a Community Moderator.

Awesome job guys! Having moderated a few of these, I'd also recommend adding a point for prohibiting selling or self-promotion. Posting a webinar or something helpful from your company could be allowed, but not anything that is purely to drive traffic or sales. Just a thought!
